What happens when a WordPress user password expires?
By default, when users’ passwords expire, they can continue working. They can change the password the next time they try to log in.
However, you can configure Melapress Login Security to instantly terminate a user’s session when their password expires. Do note that this can lead to unsaved work and loss of data.
Instantly terminate users’ WordPress sessions when passwords expire
Follow the below procedure to terminate the WordPress users’ session when their password expires:
- Login to your WordPress dashboard
- Navigate to Login Security > Settings
- Enable the setting Instantly terminate session on password expire or reset.
That is it. The next time a user’s password expires, their session will be instantly terminated.
